December 2006 Denver CD/radio/cassette player
The CD player didn't work in this one and it is mostly the CD player that is used. I dismantled it to do some measurements and when I did that I saw a micro switch connected to the lid. The switch was supposed to be closed by a piece of plastic on the lid when the lid was closed. Manually closing this switch started the CD player and it turned out that the piece of plastic on the lid was broken. I glued on a new piece and then it worked. A simple mechanical fix. I earlier had replaced some electrolytic capacitors in this player's power supply because the 50Hz noise from the power line was coming through all the way out to the speakers when the sound was low.
