2007-04-21 Siemens Gigaset A140 Wireless phone
This phone looked a lot like the Telia Free 20 below, which  probably is done by the same manufacturer and rebranded. It was an older model, though. The phone was stone dead. No display, no sounds, nothing. There where power in the base module and there where power from the batteries. As I tried to open it I removed the rechargeable batteries and left it alone for a while. Then before proceeding with the dismantling I tried to put the batteries in again just to make sure it just didn't need a deep reset. That was it, after the battery was inserted again it worked. This shows that it isn't always a tricky job to fix things and I would hardly call this a repair but my mother in law, who owns the phone, and a lot of other people too wouldn't have taken this to the shop or got a new one.
