2007-05-30, Episode 24, 5am - 6am Season 6 is over and
Jack did it again. Actually, this season he not only stopped
terrorists with nuclear bombs inside the country but he also
managed to stop a third world war with USA, Russia and China as
major opponents.
There can't be many left of Jack's family and close friends
now. His father and brother went this season. Audrey is in a
more or less vegetated state, perhaps better of without him, as
her father states and his daughter has more or less abandoned
him. Well, perhaps he can start over with Marilyn and Josh, he
seems to have had something going with her in the past.
Buchanan and Karen are certainly finished with CTU and DoD.
But it could be worse, they are still free. There should be some
good job opportunities for them in the private sector.
It seem like Chloe is going to get some maternity leave. Is
it going to be with Morris, someone else or on her own?
As always, Jack disappears from the face of the earth,
probably to appear again when the next season's threat is here.
What can it be this time? Is it going to be an Asian, Russian or
Arabic threat? Or perhaps something entirely new?
2007-05-28, Episode 23, 4am - 5am
What did I tell you.
Jack's father would surely trick CTU into handing over Josh for
nothing. What I don't buy is that he also can monitor CTU and
CTU can see that he is monitoring them but they can't do
anything about it. Well, you just have to accept it I guess.
Let's see what Jack and Buchanan can do about it. Jack
obviously has a lead that is spot on. Just to find the right oil
rig. Can we expect some big explosions in the finale, perhaps?
Daniels is beginning to doubt his judgment and starting to
appreciate Wayne Palmers decisions. What did he expect the
President job to be? Just a day at the office, the oval office.
But this shows that he may be a worthy successor to Wayne in the
office.
2007-05-16, Episode 22, 3am - 4am
Doyle obviously did
get the picture but just a little to late though. It seems that
it didn't do any difference for Josh anyway. His grandfather is
going to get him either way. That is, if his plan succeeds.
It is still my opinion that it is ridiculous to think that a
tiny circuit board would compromise the defense system of a
whole country, a country that that even is a former superpower.
But it seems that there is more to it than that. Apparently
there are some trigger happy, power hungry old cold war generals
that wants to start a war badly.
Jack's father might not be so insane after all. It would make
sense to flee to China. But not without the circuit board. That
means that he is going to try to trick CTU. Surprise! But I bet
you that Jack is going to take care of things. The question is
if this season will end as a beginning to the next. Probably, if
for nothing else, to keep the door open for a new 24 hours
terrorist hunt.
What about Nadia? will she stand up to the team from
division? I think so, she will probably go from temporary acting
director to the next permanent acting director.
And don't think that Cheng is quietly going to accept his
defeat with the circuit board. He will be back for sure.
We will find out all on next Monday (or Tuesday) in the 2
hour season finale. This episode was one of the better, a lot of
gunfights and thrilling suspense sceenes.
2007-05-11, Episode 21, 2am - 3am
What's Jack's father
up to? Has he gone completely insane? Why would he work with the
Chinese? Just to save his company? The only thing that seems to
be of importance to him. Well, that and Josh, obviously.
Turns out Milo was on the right side after all. Didn't do him
much good though.
Could all this have been some sort of elaborate plan all from
the beginning? Jack's father destroyed the sub circuit boards
when they were still in the suitcase nukes because he knew that
Cheng would get hold of them and that Cheng would need him to
fix it? But for what?
What's Bishops place in all this? Is he just a regular
Russian spy or is there more to it?
Did Doyle pick up some secret message from Nadia? He seemed a
bit worried there but still hung up the phone.
2007-05-03, Episode 20, 1am - 2am
I wonder what kind of
circuit boards includes their own downloadable schematics with
fault diagnosis to pinpoint a damaged circuit? Oh, it must be
the sub circuit boards in nuclear suitcase bombs that also holds
highly classified defense algorithms! It also seems to be
damaged in a way that can be fixed with a security override! Was
it Jack that damaged it on purpose? If so, why doesn't he tell
anybody about it. Perhaps not - se below.
So the spy is in the White House. At least the one informing
the Russians. Is this the same one that told Mr Cheng that Jack
had secured the nukes or are there more? In CTU perhaps? But it
appears like Mark Bishop's Russian contact, Nikolai, does want
the circuit board to fall into the hands of the Chinese so he
can inform the Russian president about it in order to increase
the tension between Russia and USA. Perhaps it is them that has
made sure that the circuit board is damaged so the Chinese wont
get any information from it. This might have been the plan all
from the beginning, with the organization behind Nikolai
counting on Jack (or CTU) to get back at least one of the nukes
and the circuit board. Which also explains why the Chinese had
Audrey Raines.
It seems that even in CTU's custody, Jack can do more than
anybody else. He manages to get the word "Bloomfield" out of
Audrey despite her vegetated state. Will it lead to Mr Cheng?
Does it really matter anymore? Isn't it more important to get to
the men behind the Russian contact named Nikolai. But CTU
doesn't know that. Not yet anyway. Will they be able to get more
information through Lisa and her lover?
2007-04-24, Episode 19, 12am - 1am
Viewer discretion is
advised - that's a new one.
A lot of personal annoying bickering between Chloe and Morris
- Highly unprofessional in their situation and a bit childish.
Now you know why you shouldn't mix your personal life with your
professional - especially not if you are a CTU agent trying to
stop a world war.
And the reason to fire Buchanan feels a bit thin to me. I
mean, he was the man in charge when CTU found Fayed again.
Couldn't all this wait until the crisis is over, just a couple
of hours more. I would think that it should be more of a problem
to put a person that has had her clearance limited because of
her background, in charge of CTU.
Jack and Doyle managed to loose the component that can
jeopardize world peace. A bit clumsy, but Jack is still alive.
Audrey looked more dead than alive, though. How will Jack solve
this one, hand cuffed and in CTU's custody. I guess Doyle will
see to the big picture here and let Jack help him get the
component back.
2007-04-17, Episode 18, 11pm - 12am
Jack has gone rouge
and he has apparently taken Chloe with him. What strikes me as
odd here is that the Chinese, or rather Mr. Cheng, knew that
Jack had taken care of the bombs just minutes after it happened.
And nobody seems to notice that. What would Mr. Cheng have done
to get his hands on the military intelligence if Fayed had
succeeded with his plan? Was this just a spur of the moment
thing and did they take Audrey for just this reason? Seems like
a lot of "ifs" to me.
Another thing is that, if CTU could put a tracking device on
the circuit board without the Chinese noticing it, couldn't they
just manipulate the board and put the wrong algorithm in it
instead? It also seems like a very stupid thing to put
information that is so crucial for a county's military defense,
into a circuit board that is meant to be transported into enemy
soil (the suitcase nuke) and perhaps just sit there for a very
long time before it is going to be used, if ever.
2007-04-10, Episode 17, 10pm - 11pm
Palmer really did
scare the hell out of, whatever Islamic country it is, and by
that got a lead to the remaining bombs.
It sure didn't take long for CTU to set up the fake breakout
of Fayed - It didn't go quite as planed, though, but a few dead
agents later, Jack managed to follow Fayed to the bombs, take
out all of Fayed's men and Fayed too. Fayed sure put up a decent
fight, even though he quite recently had been beaten up by Jack
and Doyle.
The bombs are safe and all is well. Of course not - this is
only episode 17! Mr. Cheng, from the Chinese Consulate has
Audrey who still is alive, as hostage, and wants Jack to do
something for him, probably really bad, in exchange for Audrey.
So, is it the Chinese who are behind all this? Or is it only
Mr. Cheng? I guess we will find out quite soon.
2007-04-03, Episode 16, 9pm - 10pm
Doyle is more and
more interesting. Is he a good guy or a bad guy? And we still
don't know what he did in Denver with Milo. Can it be that Doyle
and Milo both are bad guys and Doyle covered for Milo with the
help of Nadia?
So, Fayed is in custody and Gredenko is more or less dead.
Still no sign of the top man.
Is president Palmer even more psychically imbalanced than it
appears? Now he is launching the retaliation attack! He
sure is done talking.
Something tells me there will be a major turn of the story in
the next episode.
2007-03-28, Episode 15, 8pm - 9pm
Of course it wasn't
Nadia behind the leak at CTU. Or have we seen the last of this?
What about Doyle and Johnson? What did Doyle do in Denver?
Gredenko is captured but Fayed is still at large. The
question is what Fayed can do without Gredenko. Still, Gredenko
is most likely not the top man here, perhaps next episode will
shed some more light over this...
Wayne Palmer is back. It doesn't seem to be for long though,
he didn't look like he was in a very good shape (swollen brain and
all). Vice president still won't give up on his retaliation
attack plans. We all know he will be stopped though (probably in
the last second), the question is how. Will Lennox come forward
and reveal what he knows about Palmer's assassination attempt?
2007-03-22, Episode 14, 7pm - 8pm.
Jack has done it
again. Although it was less than one hour ago he was held
prisoner at the Russian embassy, he manages to save San
Francisco from a nuclear attack, just seconds before the planned
detonation. Gredenko is still at large though, with 2 remaining
suite case nukes.
Is it really Nadia that is the leak within CTU? I don't think
so. I suspect Milo, he has access to Nadia's computer. And it
was also him that fixed her clearance, by letting her use his
security codes. I guess we will know soon, perhaps as soon as
next episode. But probably not before Nadia has been thoroughly
interrogated by Doyle. On the other hand, Morris seems a bit
fishy too...
And will vice president Daniels succeed with his nuclear
retaliation attack plans? |
