Comments on Heroes episodes. 2007-05-27. Episode 23 - How
to stop an exploding man
The end of season one or should I say volume one. New York is
saved and Peter was the bomb. It appears that both Peter and
Nathan won't be back. Sylar, on the other hand, looks like he
has crawled down the sewer.
Was Peter's experience a dream or was it for real when he
talked to Simone's father, who obviously also is part of this.
This was just like when Mohinder had a flashback and saw his
father but then there also was a boy and he wasn't here. At this
point I thought it did get a little too weird but then things
started to sort out again.
This all means that the heroes could change the future. Good
for them. Now to volume 2 and back to the 17th century in Japan.
What's all this about then. The lonesome warrior with the
mysterious sign that we have seen from time to time. A little to
many coincidences - Hiro going back in time just to find these
warriors and then the lonesome warrior and then the eclipse. If
it now was an eclipse. An eclipse doesn't make such a sharp edge
on the shadow.
Could it be that Hiro actually goes back and starts all this
genetic mutations with his own genes. That is, he is the first
generation. I expect that we will have to wait until next fall
to find out.
2007-95-15. Episode 22 -
Landslide
It appears that every hero that is still alive is in New York
now. All gathered at the same place. Wouldn't it be nice if they
all could work together. That would make Sylar an easy target,
wouldn't it? Anybody else also, for that matter.
The tracking system is indeed Molly. And she is the girl from
episode two that Matt found hidden in her house where Sylar,
known to her as the Boogeyman, just has killed her
parents. How could I miss that? Clair's father surly can't kill
her, can he? Besides, she is needed to find Sylar.
So Micah was needed to fix the election in favor to Nathan
Petrelli. It wouldn't surprise me if he also can talk Candice
over to the other side, and that without supernatural abilities.
Candice, who probably looks a lot different than we know. At
least by judging from her reason to go along with the Linderman
group instead of being a hero. Candice might also be a victim of
Sylar. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to disguise himself as
Nathan as he did in the future episode.
Linderman is dead. Does this mean that his plan is also dead?
How many more are there in his organization? Besides the
Petrelli Mom. Obviously Hiro's father is on the other team. Or
is he? He looks like a man that can't be trusted. But why else
would he train Hiro? And what is his hidden ability? But his
advice to Hiro was good - It probably helps to cut your heart
out if you are going to kill someone.
D.L. is also dead. This should mean that neither Sylar, nor
Peter can get the ability to walk through walls. Thompson also
bought the dust. One more down for the bad guys.
A lot of deaths in this episode. Ted lost his brain and his
ability to Sylar. Now both Sylar and Peter can go ballistic.
This should leave next episode to tie up all loose ends, I
guess.
Oh, and one other thing - Do they all buy their guns from the
same place? It sure looks like it. Perhaps Linderman has got a
group discount.
2007-05-09. Episode 21 - The
hard part.
Obviously it was too hard for Hiro to take out
Sylar, or should we call him Gabriel now. Will Hiro ever succeed
to kill Sylar now that his sword is broken? Has Sylar really
seen himself blow up New York or does he just assume that it is
him? Perhaps it is Ted. But now Peter has Ted's abilities also
so I guess it is him anyway. It probably isn't Sylar since
Linderman's group wants him caught. Couldn't Molly help them
with that? She didn't seem in that bad shape. There should be
plenty of time to cure her later. But Lindermans people probably
need Sylar for something else, otherwise they would have killed
him when they had him before.
And yes, Peter's and Nathan's mom is working
with Linderman. Wonder what here abilities are. And Linderman is
obviously the man behind Primatech Papers and Clair's dad's
former boss and the man who wants to blow up New York. Why does
he need Micah for that? Or is it for something else?
How does the tracking system that is located in
New York work? And will it matter if Mr. Bennett, Matt and Ted
can take it out, now that Linderman has Molly instead? Or
perhaps the tracking system IS molly.
Sylar is apparently now set to do something
great (in his mind anyway), even becoming the President. For
that he needs Candice and her cloaking abilities.
The clock is ticking, and doomsday is
approaching. Just two more days to go. How many episodes are
there left?
2007-05-01. Episode 20 - Five
years gone.
A strange episode. This is apparently about one possible path
of the future where New York has been blown up despite the fact
that Peter did save the cheerleader.
Sylar is alive but disguised as Nathan Petrelli and the
United States president. Why does he need Clair so badly now?
In previous episodes we have seen Peter blow up in New
York and then there has been a lot of other people around him
but they where in this episode anyway which would mean that this
version of the future is another one. How is it possible that
Peter blew up and is still alive? Sure, he can regenerate
himself, just like Claire, but that obviously doesn't work if
they have something stuck into their brain. Wouldn't it be much
worse to be exploded into billions of tiny particles? And what
about his scar? I wonder how that happened and why it didn't
heal as his other wounds, without leaving a scar.
It also seems that the rate at which new people discovers
that they have unusual abilities has increased exponentially.
Will this happen even if New York doesn't blow up and why is it
so?
I guess it is all up to Hiro and Ando now. He obviously
failed to kill Sylar in this timeline. Will he have better luck
next time? Unless he dies he can go back and have as many tries
as he wants. He just have to learn how to master his abilities.
Another thing I have been wondering about is that if Hiro now
can go into the future, what version of the future will he come
to? Is there only one? Is it a version that the future would
develop to given the current circumstances up until when he
makes the jump? Could it be one possible version of many
possibilities and they would be different each time?
2007-04-24. Episode 19 - ".07%"
Heroes is back - finally. Sure, it has only been a month and
a half since last, but it seems a lot longer now that I saw this
episode.
Linderman shows his true self, or does he really? Is he a
good guy or bad guy? He seems to think that sacrificing New York
and with it 0.07% of the humans, will make this world a better
place. Is he the man behind Primatech papers? Behind all secrets
about the people with special abilities? I guess there are other
ones of the "old" peoples since he said that there were more
like him and some turned bad. Could one be Peter's and Nathan's
mom? What does Linderman need Micah for? Probably something
that needs fixing, but what? Peter died - and lives again.
Obviously the brain has a significant role in the healing. An
object in the brain and no healing. A piece of glass for Peter
and a stick for Claire. This must also mean that Peter can't
survive the big explosion. How many powers did Peter manage to
get from Sylar? Isaac isn't as lucky as Peter. I think he will
stay dead - So far, Hiro hasn't been able to change anything in
the future. Pity, I liked Isaac's paintings more than Sylar's.
Talking about Hiro, he meets himself from the future. What can
he learn from him. More than cool looks and style, that is.
Where did the "time line" strings with photos and notes come
from? Who made them? Surly it wasn't Sylar! And Sylar, Isaac
seems to have seen his death but he has no painting of it. How
will that happen? How many will he take out before that? Perhaps
it has something to do with Suresh and his new friends? This
was a good episode, worth waiting for. Almost a little too much
that happened at once. |
