Comments on the latest episodes. SPOILER WARNING for people living outside USA where these episodes are not aired yet.

Older texts on the Lost series is moved to here. I won't be making comments on every episode from now on. Instead I will add things to this page after they are revealed, as obvious or not so obvious explanations.

Ok, so season 4, the beginning of the end, is on. After having seen a couple of episodes it seems like this season is all about getting them rescued.

After episode 4 we know this:

There are only 6 of the people on the island that makes it back (The oceanic six). Perhaps there are some more that wasn't on the plane. The ones we know for sure are Jack, Hugo, Kate, Sayid, Aaron and one more. Possibly Desmond. But he was not one of the passengers so I'm not sure about that. And then there is Ben. Not sure how he fits in here but he obviously also survives. Perhaps Aaron doesn't count as one of the six.

Their story is that the plane went down in the water (everybody knows that since it has been all over the news). Six people survived and managed to get to the island, heroically rescued by Kate.

So this season is going to reveal what happened to the rest.

The strong magnetic field on the island is also important and can explain some things. Like why people have hallucinations - in many episodes the characters have seen someone close to them (Jack's father, Hugo's imaginary friend, Kate's horse and so on). This could be due to the magnetic field and perhaps also be permanent as Hugo saw and talked to Charlie off the island. This could also explain the monster, the black smoke, but I'm not so sure about that since a lot of people have seen the same thing.

The magnetic field could also be the reason for the pylon ring around Ben's camp. They are there to create a reverse magnetic field in order to neutralize the one on the island.

There are still open questions: What about Walt and Michael? There is something wrong with the time on the island. Who are the people on the boat and why have they come for Ben? How did all the rest of the survivors die? Or did they just stay there? But why would Clair stay. If she is dead - did Jack have something to do with it and is it the reason why Jack don't want to see Aaron?
